Your group could benefit from a queer disabled educator. These intersections of identity are rarely learned about properly, yet we make up a HUGE segment of the population.
Do I say ‘stump,’ like you, ‘disability,’ or ‘limb difference’?
What do I do when my kid stares at you?
How does queerness and disability intersect with my field of work? What are best practices?
With a Masters of Education, years in a University of Alberta based NGO advocating for queer and trans rights, an expert in inclusive cooking, and -ahem- the creator of hilarious videos, you’ll experience an engaging session curated specifically for your group.
We will work together to find out your specific themes and goals, but general topics of expertise include:
Disability
Limb difference, amputees, prosthetics
Inclusive cooking - gluten free, vegan, and more
Best Practices: how disability affects your field of work or group
I am available in person and online; and anything from hands-on interactive cooking at a birthday party to corporate PD and university lectures.
